We love hearing from our customers. That's why we're here. Every time we add a new dish to the menu we are thinking of you and how we can create a memorable experience. We want to transport you to Java through the authentic flavour of our food. Daniar and some of her team come from the heart of Indonesia, Java, and every dish we serve has memories attached to it.

We hope we make some memories for you too!

This restaurant is one we drive from Canberra for! Beef Rendang a highlight, as is the warm hospitality of this fabulous restaurant. We recently enjoyed celebrating Julian's 18th birthday here. Fabulous night fostered by the food, ambience and friendliness of this place.

What a surprise! We were just driving through Braidwood and looking for food. We stumbled across this little restaurant that serves up authentic Indonesian food. The staff were so lovely. Highly recommend and if you can’t get to Bali, come here and eat!

Amazing restaurant with great decor, helpful service and the best chicken I have eaten. I highly recommend the Ayam Penyet which is crispy on the outside and falls off the bone.

We recently had dinner at Ieva Restaurant in Braidwood with our family and absolutely loved it. The food was outstanding — full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and genuinely delicious. The menu is thoughtfully crafted and showcases Indonesian cuisine in a way that feels both authentic and approachable. You can really taste the care and tradition behind each dish. A wonderful dining experience all round, and one we’ll definitely be back for. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem. I was amazed that the place wasn't full. Food is sensational and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive but not smothering. The while place including open kitchen were spotlessly clean and the ambiance was understated and appealing

I walked in with modest expectations, but this place absolutely blew me away! The food was damn amazing - and I say this as someone who worked at a five-star restaurant, so I know what quality looks like. The flavors were authentic, beautifully balanced, I ordered nasi goreng.

The spice levels were tailored more for the local palate, which honestly is the only minor critique I have. As someone who loves their food seriously spicy, I would have appreciated a bit more heat. But that's purely a personal preference, and for most diners here, the spice level will probably be spot on.

Everything else was exceptional - the techniques, the presentation, the depth of flavor was there. This is genuine Javanese dish done right. If you're looking for authentic Indonesian food with restaurant-quality execution, don't sleep on this place. Just ask them to crank up the heat if you like it spicy like I do. Highly recommend!

Who would have thought to find such an authentic Indonesian restaurant in Braidwood. So delicious and very friendly staff. We had to wait because there were many orders and only one chef. But it was worth waiting!

Possibly the best beef rendang and roti I've ever had. And in a lovely, welcoming environment with excellent customer service. Friendly, fast and couldn't fault any aspect of Java Braidwood.

We had a superb dinner in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. For mains I had the barramundi and my partner had the beef ribs. Both were absolutely delicious, as was the entree, and desert was also excellent. We look forward to coming back soon!

Had a fantastic dinner on Saturday with friends. Beef rendang and peanut chicken were delicious. Restaurant has lovely ambience and lovely family who run it. Believe it was a very popular restaurant in Canberra that has moved to Braidwood. Remember it’s byo.

Nasi goreng with a corn fritter was tasty but $32 for fried rice and a Coke at lunch is almost double what I pay in Sydney at a trendy Thai place for basically the same thing. Food was fine but not a huge portion to go along with the price tag. Our family of 4 would need to think twice about eating here for $130 for lunch.
Edit: This was not on a public holiday. A normal Wednesday at lunch time.

Delicious authentic Indonesian food! The lemongrass chicken dish (ayam bumbu rujak) was incredible - super fresh spice paste and succulent chicken. The roti was amazing too. Interior decorations were very cute. Only downside is it’s fairly pricey considering the chicken dish contains no vegetables or carbs and was $31 (but delicious nonetheless).

Went here yesterday for dinner. Was full booked but the lady (i think she’s the owner) still managed to gave us extra table, sooo kind! The food was really good & i love the ambience! Feels like home for us indonesians 🥹 it’s only 1 hour drive from Canberra and it’s worth it!
